Did a car accident make me get arthritis?

I was in a car accident a week ago. I was sitting at a light and this guy rear-ended me going about 40 mph. I didn't see it coming and he hit me and made my car hit the car in front of me.

I saw my doctor the next day and he said I have arthritis in my neck. I'm 35. Did my accident last week cause it?
